Highway Pace (the “App”), developed by MyriApps, LLC, is committed to protecting your privacy.

This Privacy Policy describes how MyriApps (“we”, “us”, or “our”) collects, uses, and shares information when you use the Highway Pace Android mobile application (the “App”).

By using the App, you agree to the collection and use of information in accordance with this policy.

1. Information Collection and Use

1.1 Data We Collect Directly

We prioritize user privacy by design. The App is designed to function as a local tool.

Location Information To provide its core functionality—calculating your current speed and estimating fuel efficiency based on speed—the App requires access to your device’s location services (GPS).

• How we use it: We use location data exclusively to determine your real-time speed while the App is in use.

• What we do NOT do: We do not track, record, or store your location history. We do not collect a map of where you have traveled. We do not transmit your location data to any servers or third parties.

• Permissions: You can control location access via your device’s Privacy & Security settings. We request “While In Use” permission to ensure data is only accessed when the App is actively calculating metrics.

User Preferences and Settings The App allows you to customize your experience by selecting car types, fuel profiles, measurement units (e.g., MPG, L/100km), and fuel prices.

• Storage: All user-defined settings, fuel profiles, and preferences are stored locally on your device using standard iOS storage mechanisms (UserDefaults).

• Access: This data is not accessible by us and is not transmitted to any third party.

Billing Information: The App offers premium functionality through a subscription model managed by Apple via StoreKit.

• Transaction Data: All subscription transactions, billing information, and payment processing are handled entirely by Apple. We do not have access to your credit card information, bank details, or Apple ID credentials.

• Subscription Status: We only receive a signal from Apple confirming whether you have an active subscription to enable full functionality.

2. How We Use Your Information

We use the collected information for the following purposes:

  • Core Functionality: To provide accurate fuel and pace calculations based on your location and settings.
  • Personalization: To remember your preferences so you don’t have to re-enter them every time you open the App.
  • Subscription Management: To verify your access via StoreKit.

3. Data Storage and Security

  • Local Storage: Your data, including preferences and fuel profiles, is stored locally on your device. We do not upload this personal configuration to external servers.
  • Security: We implement industry-standard security measures to protect your data from unauthorized access. However, please be aware that no method of electronic storage is 100% secure.

3.1 Artificial Intelligence Disclaimer

Highway Pace does not use Artificial Intelligence (AI), Machine Learning (ML), or automated decision-making algorithms to process your data. All calculations (fuel efficiency, pace, etc.) are performed using standard deterministic mathematical formulas.

4. Data Sharing and Third-Party Services

The App uses the following services to facilitate core features:

• Apple StoreKit: Used to process subscriptions and manage in-app purchases. Data usage is governed by Apple’s Privacy Policy.

We do not integrate third-party analytics (such as Firebase or Google Analytics) or third-party advertising SDKs. Therefore, no third-party entities receive your data through this App.

5. Your Rights and Choices

Depending on your jurisdiction (e.g., GDPR in the EU, CCPA in California), you may have the following rights:

  • Access and Portability: Since your data is stored locally, you can view and manage your settings directly within the App.
  • Deletion: You can delete all data associated with the App by clearing the App’s storage in your device settings or by uninstalling the App.
  • Permission Control: You can revoke location permissions at any time through your device’s system settings. Note that this may limit some of the App’s core features.

6. Children’s Privacy

Highway Pace is not addressed to children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If we discover that a child has provided us with personal information, we will immediately delete such information from our records.

We may update our Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by posting the new Privacy Policy on this page and updating the “Last Updated” date at the top.
